This week marked the inaugural meeting of the newly formed Bognor Regis Town Action Group. The group was established following a meeting in May, where Alison Griffiths MP joined representatives from the Town Council, key partners, and local businesses to address concerns around crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
At that initial meeting, there was unanimous agreement to create a dedicated group to renew focus on community safety and wellbeing. The initiative has received strong backing, with Bognor Regis Town Council committing £10,000 in funding—an amount that is being matched by Arun District Council.
With this financial support, the Action Group will now begin developing a joint action plan aimed at delivering meaningful change. The goal is to improve perceptions and enhance the sense of safety and wellbeing for residents, visitors, and those working in Bognor Regis.
