When Alison Griffiths, Member of Parliament for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, visits our local schools, teachers and pupils tell her how much they want to visit Parliament. However, the cost of travelling to London prohibits them from doing so. This can't be the case.
Alison has taken this up in Parliament and met with UK Parliament’s Head of Education and Engagement, Fran Jeens. It’s clear her calls were being listened to. Alison hopes to have more news soon.
How to bring your school to Parliament
There are still a very small number of spots available for schools to visit Parliament in the summer term, but you will need to sign up quickly. Vacancies can be found here.
Bookings for visits between September and December open at 10 am on the 7th May. They are issued on a first come, first served basis, and more information will be released here.
